How you can “self sponsor” yourself to the UK without work or study visa and get permanent resident status.

One of the ways you can easily get a Residence status in UK is via the UK self sponsorship route. This route do not require you to either get a work in UK or transits via the student visa route.

This is a route for business professionals that want to open business in the UK.

With this route, you do not need to get a job offer or sponsor as you will sponsor yourself through your business.

This route allows you to start or extend your business in the UK .

You will be able to bring your spouse and children to the UK.

You will need to write IELTS to prove your English proficiency.

How it works;

You will need to set up a registered business in the UK which you can achieve by either setting up a new business or acquiring an existing one.

Once the above is achieved, you will then need to apply for sponsor licence from Home Office for the business that you have set up.

Upon the approval of the licence by the Home Office, then you can issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) and apply for Skilled Worker Visa using the COS.

You are your own boss as you aren’t employed by someone else.

You run your business the way you like but keep in mind there is competition and law governing every activity.

You will be eligible for settlement after 5 years.

How much is involved;

There is no minimum amount set out for this route but you will need amount that will be able to start a viable business.

You can be the only shareholder if you have the financial capacity needed for the business.

Type of business you can run;

There is no restriction to the type of business as long as it’s legitimate.

It can range from coffee shop, restaurant, retail shop, consultancy, tech etc…
